The REVEAL sensory Difference

REVEAL Sensory performs Descriptive Sensory Testing for brands, private labels, and manufacturers, supplying R&D and marketing teams in the food and beverage industry with valuable data and insights to make informed decisions. The quantitative descriptive approach provides an overview of the appearance, aroma, flavor, taste, and texture of products, describing and quantifying differences between products by creating a rich sensory language and scoring samples. With an efficient operating model and by maintaining a ready-to-commence trained panel, REVEAL Sensory operates at the increasingly challenging pace set by internal management teams.

The team collaborates with clients to ensure the evaluation is designed to manage test objectives and answer the questions at hand, whether they are in early-stage development or modifying an existing product. Critical to the success of each evaluation, REVEAL Sensory will identify and recommend the products to include in the evaluation. The team interprets the data collected to provide critical insights that enable companies to make informed decisions.

Consultative Methodology

Led by Sensory Director Janet Williams, each evaluation is designed in collaboration with a brand’s R&D team. Insights are gleaned from the expert statistical analysis of the data, so that you can make informed decisions.

Economical Approach

We maintain a core belief that an operating model that is efficient is capable of lessening impact on brand’s budget, without compromising integrity or standards of the testing. This lower overhead model for clients distinguishes our services from many other options, allowing us the flexibility and agility to deliver a high level of customer service devoid of the bureaucracy that can be encountered from larger organizations.

Trained Panel

REVEAL sensory performs descriptive analysis using a moderator and trained panel held to high palate acuity and communication standards—all critical functions to evaluate products using descriptive analysis techniques. Led by a moderator throughout, the panel communicates and develops the lexicon for product attributes. The experienced panel’s strengths include a history of evaluating products across a wide spectrum of categories.
